Mihile (Mikhail / Knight of Light) is one of MapleStory Special Cygnus Adventurer who wields one-handed sword and a soul shield. The Soul Shield can gain experience and level up, and upgraded at every job advancement. Upon reaching 4th Job Advancement, it becomes Soul Shield of Justice with potential stats. Mihile undergoes job advancement through Empress Cygnus and Nineheart in Ereve and can reach up to Level 250. Mihile primary stat is STR and secondary stat is DEX. [NOTE] KMS (Korean MapleStory) name this class as Mikhail whereas GMS name this class as Mihile. KMS (Korea MapleStory) released Mihile on Mar 21 2012. GMS (Global MapleStory) released Mihile on Sep 5 2012.

• Due to the timing required for Royal Guard’s use (collision on enemies or their attacks), Mihile is probably the most low latency-dependent character in MapleStory (Battle Mages with their telecasting with Dark Shock active come second). You may require a latency lower than 120ms just to get the timing right (MSEA players can check this by highlighting their character’s HP/MP/IGN bar at the bottom of the screen). Better use a machine with good processor clock speed AND a decently fast graphics card, plus a good internet connection, when playing a Mihile heavily dependent on Royal Guard.

Imperial Recall (Active)
Return to the Empress using Shinsoo’s power.
Level 1: MP Cost: 100, return to Ereve immediately. Cooldown: 180 sec.

Elemental Expert
Your mastery over the elements increases your attack and magic attack.
Level 1: ATT/M. ATT: +10%.
This skill is unlocked after your fourth job advancement.

Will of the Alliance
This skill is now unlocked by the quest “The Alliance’s Birth” instead of through a quest at level 200.

Knight’s Watch (Passive)
Knight’s Watch absorbs damage from enemy and increases your damage for a set time. Prevents you from being pushed back by enemy’s attacks for a short time when used a Link Skill.
Level 1: Barrier’s Duration: 15 sec, Enemy Blows Absorbed: 3, Damage: +15%, Damage: -10% only for attacks that inflict damage at certain ratio of the Max HP. Cooldown: 180 sec.
Level 2: Barrier’s Duration: 30 sec, Enemy Blows Absorbed: 6, Damage: +20%, Damage: -20% only for attacks that inflict damage at certain ratio of the Max HP. Cooldown: 180 sec.
Level 3: Barrier’s Duration: 45 sec, Enemy Blows Absorbed: 9, Damage: +25%, Damage: -30% only for attacks that inflict damage at certain ratio of the Max HP. Cooldown: 180 sec.

Knight’s Watch (Link Skill)
Mihile, Knight of Light, prevents you from being pushed back by enemy’s attacks for a short time.

Amplifies the power of the Soul Shield to increase defense.
Level 1: Defense +60

Royal Guard (Active)
Soul Shield nullifies enemy attack and counterattacks. Can guard while using this skill.
Level 1: MP Cost: 20, Become invincible when attacked for 2 sec nullifying attacks and counterattacking for a set time after use. Attack Power increases for 12 sec afterwards. If you guard successfully while in Attack Power increase buff state, counter attack damage, attack range, and Attack Power increases gradually but the time for guarding decreases gradually. Attack Power stacks when guarding consecutively.
[1st Time]: Max Enemies Hit: 6, Damage: 150% +3% per level, Number of Attacks: 2, Attack Power: +10.
[2nd Time]: Max Enemies Hit: 7, Damage: 200% +3% per level, Number of Attacks: 3, Attack Power: +10.

Soul Blade (Active)
Summons and gives form to invisible Soul power to inflict damage to enemies.

Weightless Heart (Active)
Use while in the middle of a jump to jump even further. The jumping distance increases as the skill level increases.

Explanation:
Soul Blade will be your primary attacking skill during Mihile 1st Job. Therefore, add 1 SP (Skill Points) to unlock it and max Weightless Heart and Soul Devotion to traverse wide maps quickly and reach monsters faster for the kill. Max HP Boost last since the monsters at this level will not be able to kill you within 3-4 hits.

Increases one-handed weapon mastery, accuracy and Final Damage.

Doubles the attack speed of your weapon. Must have an one-handed sword equipped.

Rally (Supportive)
Increases the Attack Power of your party members for a short time. Stacks with other buffs.

Use Soul power to attack multiple enemies multiple times.

Permanently improves STR and DEX through sheer physical training.

Explanation:
Mihile 2nd Job primary attacking skill will be a mix of Radiant Driver and Soul Driver. Radiant Driver is maxed instead of Soul Driver as this primary attacking skill will be replaced with better damaging and longer range attacking skill in 3rd and 4th job, whereas Radiant Driver can be used as an utility skill to cluster monsters in 1 area for your primary attacking skill to hit. If you can 1HKO (1 hit knockout) monsters with Radiant Driver, use that to clear monsters on platform which are flat. For monsters that requires more than 2 hits, use Soul Driver to eliminate them. You will be given 4 SP (Skill Points) in 2nd Job. Distribute each SP into unlocking Radiant Driver and Soul Driver. Begin with maxing Sword Mastery to boost your min max damage. Then, max Rally and Physical Training to further boost your raw damage so you can perform 1HKO when using Radiant Driver. Next, max Sword Booster to reduce the delay of your attacking skill. This is beneficial when you are required to swing your sword multiple times against monsters that needs more than 2 hits to be defeated. Proceed to max Final Attack for the added additional auto-attack damage. Finally, max Radiant Driver and capped Soul Driver at Level 14 since there isn’t sufficient SP to max all skills.

Mihile 3rd Job Skills

Self Recovery (Passive)
Restores some HP and MP every 4 seconds, even in combat.
Level 1: 15 HP and 9 MP recovered every 4 seconds.
Level 20: 300 HP and 90 MP recovered every 4 seconds.

Intense Focus (Passive)
Focuses powers to permanently increase STR and improve attack speed by 1 level.
Level 1: Strength: +3, Critical Rate: +1%, Final Damage: +1%, Attack Speed: +1
Level 20: Strength: +60, Critical Rate: +20%, Final Damage: +10%, Attack Speed: +1

Righteous Indignation (Passive)
Increases damage and critical rate when attacking enemies in abnormal status.
Level 1: When attacking enemies in abnormal status, Damage: +6%, Critical Rate: +1%
Level 20: When attacking enemies in abnormal status, Damage: +25%, Critical Rate: +20%

Advanced Royal Guard (Passive)
Enhances Royal Guard to do a more powerful counterattack when guarding multiple hits in a row. Ignores Attack Ignore and attack reflection effects when guarding more than 4 times.
Level 1: Stats as shown below
[4th Time]: Attacks up to 10 enemies at 250% +(3% x your Character Level) Damage 5 times, and then increases ATT +30.
[5th Time]: Attacks up to 15 enemies at 250% +(3% x your Character Level) Damage 7 times, and then increases ATT +45.
Upon 3rd job advancement, this skill is auto-maxed.

Radiant Charge (Passive)
Increases damage.
Level 1: MP Cost: 25, Damage: +24%
Level 10: MP Cost: 40, Damage: +60%

Enduring Spirit (Supportive)
Significantly increases your defense, Abnormal Status Resistance, and all Elemental Resistance for a set time.
Level 1: MP Cost: 20, DEF +10%, Abnormal Status Resistance +6%, All Elemental Resistance: +6%, Duration: 72 sec
Level 10: MP Cost: 40, DEF +100%, Abnormal Status Resistance +60%, All Elemental Resistance: +60%, Duration: 180 sec

Soul Link (Toggle On/Off)
Connect your soul to nearby allies to unify and bolster your powers. Party members receive the effect when in Soul Link’s range. Can be toggled On/Off.
Level 1: MP Cost per sec: 15.
[Mihile]: Damage: 1% per party member, recover 1% of Max HP per 4 sec, Receive 20% of party member’s damage that can be nullified with Royal Guard.
[Party Member]: Share Attack Power: +12% when Mihile succeeds with Royal Guard, and Abnormal Status: +1% and DEF: +11% from Enduring Spirit.
Level 20: MP Cost per sec: 15.
[Mihile]: Damage: 5% per party member, recover 1% of Max HP per 4 sec, Receive 20% of party member’s damage that can be nullified with Royal Guard.
[Party Member]: Share Attack Power: +50% when Mihile succeeds with Royal Guard, and Abnormal Status: +20% and DEF: +30% from Enduring Spirit.

Magic Crash (Supportive)
Has a chance to cancel all enemy buffs and prevent them from casting new buffs. Debuffs: Attack Power / Magic ATT Increase, Weapon/Magic DEF Increase, Obsidian Skin.
Level 1: MP Cost: 33, at 28% chance, cancels some buffs. For 10 sec, restrict buff of 10 enemies. Cooldown: 60 sec.
Level 10: MP Cost: 15, at 100% chance, cancels some buffs. For 22 sec, restrict buff of 10 enemies. Cooldown: 60 sec.

Trinity Attack (Active)
Deal 3 consecutive attacks on multiple enemies in front of you.

Explanation:
Trinity Attack will be Mihile’s 3rd Job Primary Attacking Skill for leveling up. Righteous Indignation is maxed last since you do not have any attacking skills that can inflict status on monsters such as stun. You will be given 4 SP upon 3rd Job advancement, so distribute 1 SP each into Trinity Attack, Intense Focus, Self Recovery and Radiant Charge. Max Radiant Charge to increase your min and max damage. Max Self Recovery to reduce health and mana potions consumption, less potion usage means less frequent to potion shop to restock. Next, max Intense Focus to increases your strength and reduces attack delay. Cap Trinity Attack at Level 14 since you will not have sufficient SP to max all skills. Finally, max Enduring Spirit, Soul Link and Magic Crash. These 3 skills doesn’t play much role in helping you level up, so they are max last.

Call of Cygnus (Supportive)

Grants the blessings of Cygnus’s awakening to temporarily increase all stats for you and your party members. Does not stack with Maple Warrior, Call of Cygnus, Nova Warrior, President’s Orders, or Rhinne’s Protection.
Level 1: MP Cost: 10, Increases all stats assigned APs by +1% for 30 sec
Level 30: MP Cost: 70, Increases all stats assigned APs by +15% for 900 sec

Soul Asylum (Passive)
Required skill: Soul Shield (MAX)
Uses the enhanced power of the Soul Shield’s power to enhance Royal Guard and to permanently decrease damage received from enemies.
Level 1: Decreases 5% of damage based on Max. HP for 15 sec when Royal Guard is successful. Permanently decreases damage from enemy attacks by 5.5%.
Level 30: Decreases 5% of damage based on Max. HP for 15 sec when Royal Guard is successful. Permanently decreases damage from enemy attacks by 20%.

Expert Sword Mastery (Passive)
Required Skill: Sword Mastery (MAX)
Maxes out mastery of one-handed sword while increasing Minimum Critical Damage and Attack Power.
Level 1: One-Handed Sword Mastery: +56%, Attack Power: +1, Minimum Critical Damage: +1%
Level 30: One-Handed Sword Mastery: +70%, Attack Power: +30, Minimum Critical Damage: +15%

Advanced Final Attack (Passive)
Required Skill: Final Attack (MAX)
Permanently increases ATT and Accuracy. Greatly increases the damage and activation rate of your Final Attack.
Permanently increases success rate of triggering Final Attack, damage and accuracy. Also, Final Attack attack enemies twice instead of once.
Level 1: Permanently increases ATT by 1 and Accuracy by 1%. Also has a 46% chance of activating 156% damage Final Attack 2 times.
Level 30: Permanently increases ATT by 30 and Accuracy by 10%. Also has a 75% chance of activating 185% damage Final Attack 2 times.

Four-Point Assault (Active)
Unleashes four soul blades with a chance to blind enemies. The final hit will always be a Critical Hit. Inflicts Blind on all monsters, but its duration is cut in half on bosses.
Level 1: MP Cost: 20, Damage: 193%, Max Enemies Hit: 2, Number of Attacks: 8, Shadow Attack and Blind Chance: 20%, Enemy Accuracy: -1% for 10 sec. Critical Hit on final attack.
Level 30: MP Cost: 32, Damage: 280%, Max Enemies Hit: 2, Number of Attacks: 8, Shadow Attack and Blind Chance: 20%, Enemy Accuracy: -30% for 10 sec. Critical Hit on final attack.

Radiant Cross (Active)
Attacks with a cross of light formed by cutting the fornt in the shape of a cross. Reduce Enemy Accuracy with a Blind effect. Inflicts Blind on all monsters, but its duration is cut in half on bosses.
Level 1: MP Cost: 41, Damage: 353%, Max Enemies Hit: 6, Number of Attack: 4, Shadow Attack and Blind Chance: 30%, Enemies Accuracy: -30%, Duration 10 sec.

Roiling Soul (Toggle On/Off)
Focuses a short burst of attacks on a single enemy with significantly higher damage.
Level 1: MP Cost: 30, Final Damage: +1%, Minimum Critical Damage: +1%, Max Enemies Targeted: 1.
Level 30: MP Cost: 50, Final Damage: +30%, Minimum Critical Damage: +15%, Max Enemies Targeted: 1.

Combat Mastery (Passive)
Ignores a portion of a monster’s defense while attacking.
Level 1: Defense Ignored: 12%
Level 15: Defense Ignored: 40%

Power Stance (Passive)
Concentrates to hold your ground when struck, resisiting knock-back effects permanently.
Level 1: Does not get knocked back at a chance of 42%.

Explanation:
Check this Hyper Stats Guide for more details! Radiant Blast overpowers Four-Point Assault in mob training and outputting 20% more total damage, therefore its possible to weed out Four-Point Assault. However, its particularly useful for boss raiding. Reason being, almost all bosses are immune to stun but not towards blind status. Having said that, it will benefit from Righteous Indignation (3rd Job Skill). the as its not useful but only to reduce boss accuracy.

Mihile Skill Cores

Shield of Light | Rho Aias
Max Level: 25 (30 with Matrix Points)
Become the shield that protects party members from enemy attacks.
Level 1: MP Cost: 1000, Duration: 40 sec, Damage Reduction (to you and party member inside shield): 74% (including Percentage HP attacks). Cannot use movement skills while utilizing shield. The shield has 3 layers, each of which can defend against 10, 10, and 15 attacks, respectively. When the shield is gone, your Final Damage: +5% + 1% per defense count for 78 sec. Press the skill key again to manually remove the shield. Cooldown: 300 Sec.
Level 30: MP Cost: 1000, Duration: 40 sec, Damage Reduction (to you and party member inside shield): 89% (including Percentage HP attacks). Cannot use movement skills while utilizing shield. The shield has 3 layers, each of which can defend against 17, 17, and 22 attacks, respectively. When the shield is gone, your Final Damage: +5% + 1% per defense count for 165 sec. Press the skill key again to manually remove the shield. Cooldown: 300 Sec.

Sword of Light | Claiomh Solais
Max Level: 25 (30 with Matrix Points)
Focuses the power of your Soul Shield into the form of the legendary Sword of Light to strike down your foes. Attacking an enemy during cooldown, Sword of Light is also produced and inflicts damage.
Level 1: 1 MP Cost: 800, Max Enemies Hit: 12, Number of Attacks: 7. Damage increases according to the number of Royal Guard’s Attack Power buff’s stack. Royal Guard’s Attack Power buff duration increases 6 sec after use. However, it cannot exceed the max value. Cooldown: 12 sec. When you attack during a cooldown: [1] attack activated per 5 sec. Mihile Storyline

The mightiest hero can come from the humblest beginnings. The great warrior you know as Mihile did not always go by that name. Once upon a time he was an overworked stock boy at Mr. Limbert’s General Store, known only as “kiddo.” Little did that young boy know that his life was about to change forever… Empress Cygnus long suspected that there was more to the boy than what met the eye, so she and Neinheart decided to test the young warrior. It wasn’t until Cygnus watched him defeat her minions with ease that she knew the truth for sure. Neinheart was skeptical, but Cygnus’s faith never wavered. She explained to the boy that his father was a warrior of great power; a warrior for good and a warrior for the light. He had left his infant son with the old man Limbert, planning to one day return, but he was never able to escape the great evil that defeated him. She went on to call the nameless kiddo “Mihile,” which means “Born of Light” in honor of his fallen father, Chromile, the Knight of Light. The young Empress and her faithful follower Neinheart brought the boy with a new name back with them to Ereve. There he learned that “Only the darkest night can produce the most brilliant sunrise!”

Mihile Notes

• Mihile is a Cygnus Knight, but his tutorial and storyline are much like Hero and Jett classes, and his max level is 250.
• There is no gender selection with Mihile – he can only be male!
• Each Mihile character has its own individual Cash Inventory not shared with other characters.
• Until Lv.120, Mihile receives an additional 10% EXP.
• Once Mihile reaches Lv.70, he can pass down the Beginner skill Knight’s Watch to another character on the same account in the same world. Knight’s Watch uses the power of light to protect a character from being knocked back.
• After completing the 4th job advancement, you can obtain Empress’s Shout and Empress’s Prayer through quests, and you will be able to create an Ultimate Explorer.
• Lv. 30 Mihiles will get their own cards added to the Character Card system: Weapon DEF: +2/3/4/5% for Lv.30-69, Lv.70-119, Lv.120-199, Lv.200.
